No thoughts on starting a business, but love playing Dungeons and Dragons(D&D)? No problem, we also offer a Board Game Design Program (BGDP)!
What Is Board Game Design Program?
If you have any ideas or preferences about board games, BGDP will help bring them to life. The coach will guide your ideas and turn them into products. Before the program starts, you will only need to provide a resume and a proposal detailing the concepts you wish to develop. The coach will use this information to discuss a tailored process tailored to each student's individual idea.
The program will be led by the coach who majored in board game design. You will receive one-on-one sessions, including design, art design, and creation. By the end of the program, you will have created your own board game, designed in collaboration with your coach!
Board Game Design Program Outcomes
What does it take to create a board game?
Come up with a concept—This includes the game’s title, thematic setting, story outline, character design, win/lose conditions, and possible endings.
Dive into the details—Such as gameplay mechanics, illustrations, tokens, maps, cards, and more.
Product Design Draft— Game components include character design, color and illustration style, tokens and pieces, map/board layout, cards, rewards, scoring systems, and more.
Coming up with all of these is already a challenge, but figuring out how to connect them into a cohesive whole is an art in itself. That’s why having a coach can be invaluable; you need someone to guide and help you overcome the obstacles along the way!

Meet the BGDP Coach
Coach Ching
Coach Ching is a board game designer with over five years of experience in the field.
He has successfully designed four original board games—Dionysus, Brain Reconstruction Project, Carrot, and Birdsong Sauce set for official release in 2025.
He has led students in creating the board game Brain Reconstruction Project.
As a self-taught designer, he has accumulated extensive hands-on experience through years of practice and refinement.
Standard operating procedure for registration
Fill out the application form → Consult and plan with the Menty team → Prepare your resume and proposal → Meet with the Coach → Assess mutual fit with the Coach → Sign the agreement and make payment → Program gets started.
